He also noted something important: that he had the knowledge of riding the bike but not the understanding.
So information=/=knowledge=/=understanding.

Information is processed data whereas knowledge is information that is modeled to be useful.
Understanding can be defined as knowing or realizing the intended meaning or cause of something.
