Theists often misstate Einstein's position on this matter. Is it too complex or intricate for some people when Einstein frames it quite poetically that be believes in the pantheistic god of Spinoza or that god doesn't play dice? What he is saying really, is that a personal or "living" god is an answer that does not satisfy his intellect. And when he says it is a childish and naive notion, he means that you don't have to be an Einstein to come to the same conclusion.
